Aviator line® nominated for the German Design Award 2015

The new furniture brand Aviator line®, designed by Dutch bureau Klaaysen design, has been nominated for the prestigious German Design Award 2015 in the category ‘Excellent Product Design’.

The international Design Award is granted by the ‘Rat für Formgebung’ (German Design Council), a well-known institution which represents German design culture for more than 60 years. The jury believes the quality of the design of Aviator line® is extraordinary and very impressive in all of its details.

Design as work inspiration

Aviator line® is a translation of the ‘New Work’ idea, designed from a ‘less is more’ perspective. The idea is simple: creating space for communication, creative thinking, and working. Originated from the belief that work can be fun and inspiring. By being user friendly, the program distinguishes itself from others. Its functionality results in an active and healthy work environment. Optimal legroom, an intelligent table top construction and an automatically given active posture is what makes Aviator line® a perfect furniture line, made for entrepreneurs with courage.

Dutch design, Made in Germany

A joint work engagement and commitment is what created Aviator line®. Bert Klaaysen (Klaaysen design) is responsible for the idea and design, Wouter Klaaysen (DIVE creative) for the graphic design and communication, and Friedhelm Richter (Richter Möbelwerkstätten) responsible for developing the program. Richter also produces Aviator line®.
